Epsom Station - Replies from Solum

Solum Regeneration has now replied to Cllr Julie Morris with their answers to the questions asked by members of the public at the public meeting held at the Phoenix Club on 30th November. Their replies have been distributed to those who gave us an e-mail address and have now been posted on this website.

Epsom Station - Planning Application Goes Live

The expected Planning Application for the regeneration of Epsom Station has now been registered by Epsom & Ewell Borough Council under the reference number 09/00824/FUL. This differs from the plans exhibited by the developers Solum Regeneration recently by including a new car park in Horsley Close.

Where's the bus?

Bus service cuts start

We warned last May that the Conservatives would start cutting bus services, once the county council elections on 4th June were safely out of the way. In October we learnt that the Pegasus school bus scheme will end next July, causing additional environmental problems and traffic chaos as well as giving problems to thousands of parents faced with getting their children to school. Now Surrey County Council is consulting on a 'Bus Review' aimed at cutting costs of other bus services by at least 20%.

To mark EU anti-trafficking day and UK anti-slavery day, Lib Dem MEP for South-East England Catherine Bearder, hosted a special event called "The Truth About Trafficking", along with the University of Oxford's European Affairs Society.
