Epsom & Ewell Quiz Night 2024

  • 16 Nov 2024
  • 7.30 pm - 10.00 pm
  • 7 London Road
    Ewell
    Epsom
    KT17 2AY

The venue is the same as last year, Ewell Hall. It's warm, clean, comfortable and central, with free on-street parking available, or in the nearby Bourne Hall car park. Who could want more?

This year’s QUIZ NIGHT is being hosted by professional quiz master, Bert McLelland, with various subject rounds to include a special Liberally Democratic one! Tables of six (all friends welcome) will compete for prizes, either side of a bread, cheese, 'accessories' and dessert supper.

We'll provide the grub and the prizes, you just have to come along with as MANY FRIENDS as possible. Please bring your own bottles/beverages and some of that old-fashioned stuff called CASH for the raffle.

If you can form your own team, that’s great. If not, don't worry, just book whatever number of tickets you require, and we'll form teams on the night.

TICKETS £20 per person to include supper

ANNUAL GENERAL FISH AND CHIP MEETING

  • 22 Nov 2024
  • 7.00 pm - 9.00 pm
  • 7 London Road
    Ewell
    Epsom
    KT17 2AY

Let’s be honest, annual general meetings aren’t usually very exciting, but this one will be different! The business of the night will be stream-lined, with relevant information and figures being circulated beforehand. This will allow time for everybody to have a chat and, if they wish, a fish and chip supper. Please BYO liquid accompaniment.

Highlight of the night will be hearing from Helen about her first weeks in the Chamber of Horrors – sorry the House of Commons! We’ll also take the opportunity to hear experiences of this autumn’s Brighton Lib Dem conference, and to gain insights from former MP for Carshalton Tom Brake, now our President.

Attendance at the AGM, tea and coffee will of course be free of charge, but if you’d like the fish or chicken and chips, (freshly cooked by the chip shop across the road) please buy a £20 TICKET HERE. There will also be a small dessert.

If you’re NOT ordering supper, but WILL BE attending the AGM, please indicate your attendance by ORDERING A FREE TICKET

CHRISTMAS CRACKERS

  • 04 Jan 2025
  • 7.00 pm - 11.00 pm

Now that we have our very own Lib Dem MP, it’s even more vital that we show our support with a big, consistent turnout at our events. Please remember that with the exceptions of the Surrey County Council campaign launch and the AGM, all events are open to everybody, irrespective of party membership. So, please invite your friends, if not your enemies!
