Lib Dems warn of GP "retirement time bomb" facing local communities with almost 1 in 4 heading towards retirement age. Will Forster, Leader of Surrey Lib Dems is calling for the Government to set out a clear plan to recruit more GPs in NHS workforce plan. The Liberal Democrats have warned of a "GP retirement time bomb," after new research by the party reveals almost one in four family doctors are nearing retirement age.
