Surrey Lib Dems call for reduced speed limits
The Liberal Democrats on Surrey County Council have called for the council to fund the reduced speed limit schemes already approved by the council's local committees.

Courts Redevelopment plan not agreed
Epsom & Ewell borough council's Planning Committee have voted not to approve a revised scheme to redevelop the former Crown Court and Magistrates Court buildings, because insufficient parking places were proposed in an area with chronic parking problems.

Bank stress tests cannot be a half-way house
The EU's bank watchdog, the Committee of European Banking Supervisors (CEBS), is to publish the results of its bank stress tests. Stress tests were implemented last year in the US to identify banks that would require additional capital to survive in case the recession got worse.

Liberal Democrats on Surrey County Council have criticised the Conservative-run administration at County Hall for spending £4,158 of Surrey Council Taxpayers money on a two day trip to Farnham Castle in Surrey for 26 senior Conservative councillors and council officers.
