Meet your Liberal Democrat Candidates for May's 2026 Elections
West Ewell
Sammi Villabon and Jeremy Smith
Sammi was raised on Heatherside Road, married just around the corner at All Saints Church, and now has children in local childcare - a true West Ewell local. Now working as a Sign Language Interpreter, Sammi is passionate about building an inclusive community that is welcoming for all, and she is particularly committed to improving SEND provision so that every child is given the opportunity to thrive. Having grown up in West Ewell herself, she understands the everyday issues that matter to local residents and actually cares about finding solutions. Sammi is motivated by a desire to show her children that fairness, sensibility and collaborative leadership can achieve real progress. When she's not working, you'll often find Sammi and her husband at Bourne Hall, keeping up with their two children and enjoying time together as a family.
Jeremy has lived in the area for fifteen years, settling down and raising a family. By day, he works in the TV industry, building everything from apps to control rooms and studios. Between work and driving the “Dad Taxi,” Jeremy enjoys exercising in Nonsuch Park and cycling around the local area. Jeremy is committed to being, if elected, a practical, focused councillor, working to bring meaningful improvements that make a real difference to daily life in West Ewell. To put it simply, he believes that sensible, everyday people should have a voice in local decision-making, helping ensure the community thrives.
As the Liberal Democrats for West Ewell, Sammi and Jeremy are committed to supporting the community and addressing the issues that matter most to residents. Their focus is on practical solutions that make everyday life better, helping everyone in West Ewell to live and work.
