Meet your Liberal Democrat Candidates for May's 2026 Elections

David lives in Horton with his family and has been at the heart of the local community for many years. He previously served as a councillor in the Horton area and as Chair of the Livingstone Park Residents Association, helping to bring people together and make residents’ voices heard. David has been closely involved in major local campaigns, including helping to establish the Horton Chapel Community Trust. He also serves as the CEO of a charity supporting disabled people, and is deeply committed to building a more inclusive society. When he’s not working, you’ll often find David walking his dog, Milo, in Horton Country Park, enjoying the green spaces that make Epsom such a special place to live. David is passionate about making Epsom West safe and welcoming, and about working with residents to deliver the changes the community needs.

John has had a long and successful career as a biology teacher in a local college. He has lived near Epsom Common for many years, where he has raised his family and become deeply involved in the local community. These days, John divides his time between working on his allotment, cycling around Epsom and volunteering locally. He is always happy to stop for a chat, and John’s priority is listening to residents and understanding the issues that matter most to them. He is passionate about preserving Epsom’s green spaces, supporting our young people and helping to build a community for everyone. 

As the Liberal Democrat candidates for Epsom West, David and John share a love of Epsom’s green spaces and care about making sure our community feels safe and welcoming for everyone. They believe these go hand in hand with practical support for residents and the right local infrastructure, so that everyone can live well.
