New Seat appears in 24 hours!

When Christine Key, who works with the Lib Dems in College Ward, noticed a broken seat in Downside, she asked Cllr Julie Morris to report it.

Julie emailed the "streetcare" team on Monday 10th March and was astonished to see a brand new seat in situ on Tuesday 11th March. She said "Council Officers receive a great deal of criticism but in this case the service was truly amazing and I am most grateful. It just shows that if the Town Hall staff can deal with a problem quickly, then they do just that. Sometimes it's not in their power to act quickly but on this occasion they came up trumps and I am most grateful. The seat faces south and is well used."
