Christmas Lights Switch-On 2012

On Thursday 22nd November, the main event will start at 4pm in the Market Place and for one night only will feature loads of activities.

• An ice skating rink from 2pm
• Santa's Grotto in the Clock Tower
• Street magician
• Caricature artist
• Live music and local choirs
• Children's rides
• Face painting
• Hot food stalls
• Meet the cast and characters from Epsom Playhouse's "The Night Before Christmas" show
• Characters from the recently opened Hobbledown Farm will also be on hand

The event has been sponsored by a variety of local businesses. Entrance to Santa's Grotto is £3 with all proceeds going to MERU, an Epsom based charity that designs and provides bespoke equipment for children and young people with disabilities. Approximately 200 children will be able to enter the Grotto between 4pm and 8pm. The ice skating rink will be open from 2pm and will cost £3 per person inclusive of skates hire from size 8 to adult sizes. Each ice skating session will last for 20 minutes.

The event is set to be a great family occasion.
